Data-driven system identification of hydrodynamic maneuvering coefficients from free-running tests

چکیده

A data-driven system identification approach was developed to identify the hydrodynamic coefficients of a mathematical maneuvering model. The method, primarily for use in context autonomous shipping, solved ship motion equations using measurements from free-running model tests, whereby an efficient recently Euler equation-based numerical determined zero-frequency added masses. method is simple and robust incorporates physical properties forces enforce physically realistic solution. verified validated with maneuver tests. predicted kinematics trajectories compared favorably measurements. potential demonstrated.
